Marketing Doris - talks about Save our Shirts

After a couple of days of speculation, irate fans and headlines; Huddersfield Town FC shirt sponsor Paddy Power finally came clean about the proposed white sash across the new season football kit.

As predicted by many (including me - see Huddersfield go to Town) it was a publicity stunt. However, they went a stage further and announced that they weren’t putting any of their logos on the kit and instead they will have clean shirt.

In addition, they are encouraging sponsors of other football clubs to follow suit and return the football shirts to the fans by removing sponsor logos.

Great move Paddy Power - not only will this guarantee more headlines, social media trends it has made Huddersfield fans very happy - and thereby creating positive thoughts for their brand and hopefully increased sales!
