Challenge Doris

Being on the BNI Focus team last night at the London Bridge to raise money for Warrington Youth Club, gave me plenty of time to think about how much marketing influences everyday life and quiz nights.. for example:

  1. Marketing Doris supports Warrington Youth ClubChoosing the right team name caused as much heartache and deliberation as a brand or company name.. I still think Quizzy Rascals deserved the loudest clap because it was clear what we were and what we stood for, whereas the ones that were just too clever or anagrams were confusing
  2. Logo identification is important and wouldn’t you want your corporate branding to be recognised even if it had been chopped up and squished in with your competitors
  3. Promotional material should be distinguishable with the clear messages and images .. if the marketing team behind Gladiator had thought of that.. we may not have got them confused with Robin Hood!

My general knowledge and quizzing techniques may be limited to music, shopping and light entertainment .. but my marketing skills are so much better!
