A Royal Visit

I was very honoured to have been invited to the Warrington Youth Club (WYC) on Wednesday 18th July when His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester visited to commemorate WYC's Diamond Anniversary.

Warrington Youth ClubThe most moving and impressive part of the evening for me was hearing from the young people who regularly attend the WYC and were able to articulate so well through dance and speech what it means to them personally and how it has helped them.  J spoke from the Stay Safe programme (aimed at working with the most vulnerable young people struggling to keep themselves safe in our society) and M from the Girls Group (aimed at building confidence with young girls) whose lives have been positively influenced by Warrington Youth Club.  Both speeches were incredible, very personal, heartbreaking and yet inspirational.. you couldn't help but feel moved by what they were saying and it enforces so well the marvellous work that is being done at WYC.

I have recently started working with the WYC team in a voluntary capacity looking at ways in which they can build awareness locally with information about the club, their services and how people and business can also get involved with fundraising, donations or volunteering of time.  I therefore make no apologies (and I'm sure you will understand) for talking about it on here... and will continue to do so!!

If you want further information, get in touch or alternatively visit the Warrington Youth Club website.

"Helen has proved invaluable to us in helping bring the smooth launch of a new website to fruition, no mean task for a Golf Club steeped in tradition, but one that had fallen behind in terms of both promotion"
